TATNEFT Company took part in the XVIIIth international specialized exhibition 'Energy. Resource Saving' and in the XVth International Symposium 'Energy Resource Efficiency and Energy Saving', held at the pavilions of the exhibition center 'Kazanskaya Yarmarka (Kazn Fair' in Kazan.

The official opening of the event was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Anton Inyutsin, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, heads of sectoral ministries and departments of the Russian Federation, heads of branch ministries and departments of the Republic.

There was a Republican Review-contest of Energy Efficient Equipment and Technologies held within the framework of the international exhibition, where TATNEFT and its subsidiary Tatneft-Neftekhim Management Company were awarded a first-degree diploma in the nomination 'Energy-efficient Technologies and Equipment' for the modernization of the compressor station of PJSC 'Nizhnekamskshina' with Compressors and air dehumidifiers SDB-600.

TATNEFT presented at the exhibition stands the results of the Company's activities in the areas of energy conservation and resource efficiency. The Company carries out a program of resource-saving designed until 2020, which framework also provides for implementation of the energy saving program. The objective of this program is to save fuel and energy resources through their rational use and increasing the energy production efficiency. The Company's efforts resulted in saving more than 380 thousand tons of reference fuel in the period from 2011 to 2016, which allowed reducing the Company's needs for fuel and energy resources by 6.3%.

The Company's display stands demonstrated energy-efficient technologies, which allow minimizing the resource expenditures which, inter alia, include the equipment and technology of crude oil recovery enhancement through application of polymer-clayish compositions and detergents installation of dual completion and production equipment for operation of small diameter wells (114 and 102 mm), inflatable packers, chain drives manufactured by the Bugulma Mechanical Plant, a complex of resource-saving technologies to increase crude oil recovery based on the application of natural materials, etc..

Consistent annual introduction of new technologies for enhancining crude oil recovery provides for 7.7 million tonnes of additional crude oil production (over 27% of the total production) of the whole Company.

The organizers of the exhibition are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Center for Energy-Saving Technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Kazan City Hall and the Kazan Fair.

140 leading companies from Russia, USA, Belarus and Italy, as well as 12 representative offices of foreign companies from Germany, Israel, Italy, Spain, China, Slovenia, Poland, Korea, the USA, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Finland presented their latest achievements at the exhibition this year.

Within the framework of the extensive business program accompanying the exhibition there were scientific and technical conferences, round tables, expert sessions, seminars arranged. The key event of the business program was the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan 'On the progress of implementing the State Program 'Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Improvement in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014-2020', where the results of 2016 were summed up and tasks were outlined for the current year.
