Tatneft' : "TatNIPIneft" Celebrated the 60th Anniversary

'TatNIPIneft', which is a structural division of TATNEFT Company, celebrated its 60th anniversary. The ceremony on this occasion was held at the Bugulma House of Technology in the evening of August 18.

The meeting was attended by Farid Mukhametshin, Chairman of the Republic Tatarstan State Council, Nail Maganov, General Director of TATNEFT, Igor Shpurov, General Director of FBU 'SRC' (State Commission on Mineral Reserves), representatives of the Bugulma Municipality Region, as well as the employees and veterans of 'TatNIPIneft'.

F. Mukhametshin highly appreciated the role of the enterprise in the history of crude oil production development in Tatarstan. 'TatNIPIneft' is a think tank, synthesis of theory and practice, which enabled the oilmen to very well develop the oil areas, which still continue producing good volumes of crude oil and fill up the budget of the republic,' said Farid Mukhametshin.

During the six decades of its existence, the scientific branch of the Company has made significant progress. About 160 oil fields have been put on development and about 2.5 billion tons of crude oil have been produced according to the Institute's projects, hundreds of buildings both for industrial use and the social sphere have been built.

'TatNIPIneft' today has the status of a recognized testing range for finalizing and replicating the most advanced engineering developments of crude oil production at the entire country scale. The team can be proud of the fruits of their labor, many of which have received worldwide recognition and have had a tremendous impact on the whole petroleum science. Our plans provide for strengthening the status of 'TatNIPIneft', making it not only a leading research center of the Company, but also the one for the entire industry,' said Nail Maganov.

In a festive atmosphere the collective body and the best employees of 'TatNIPIneft' were awarded state and corporate awards.

'TatNIPIneft' was established in 1956. To date, there are approximately 1,000 employees in the team, including 16 doctors of science and 65 PhDs. Over the years of its existence the employees have received 2600 domestic and 73 foreign patents, published 228 monographs and 8,900 scientific articles. In recent years, 'TatNIPIneft' has made significant progress in the development of heavy oil reserves in Tatarstan.
