Taylor Wimpey : Couple complete just two days before their wedding

Josh Miller, 31, and Katie Miller, 32, ticked off two of life's biggest events in the space of just one week when they completed on their new four bedroom Maudsley home at our Oakleigh Grove development in Whetstone just two days before their wedding. Whilst the couple admits it was the craziest week of their lives so far, they are grateful for the support they received from the North Thames team to help secure their dream home before they said 'I do.'

Josh and Katie, who previously lived in a two bedroom flat in Temple Fortune, decided they wanted a new home to move in to after their wedding and were in agreement that a new build was the right option for them. Josh confirms: 'We both liked the idea of a new build because you don't need to do anything before moving in. All the decorating is done and you have a fresh, modern home ready and waiting. Plus, as you're the first owner you don't have to worry about cleaning it either!'

With Oakleigh Grove being close to Katie's parents, it was an obvious place for them to start the search for their dream home and they fell in love with the Maudsley on their first visit. The couple used the Part Exchange scheme to sell their old property and buy their new one. Josh explains: 'Part Exchange worked really well for us and the Sales Executives could not have been more helpful in talking us through the process. It removed all the stress and hassle of trying to sell our old home and I'd definitely recommend the scheme to other existing homeowners.'

After moving into their new home in April 2017 Katie, who works as a teacher in Highgate, and Josh, who works in events at Elstree, are enjoying a relaxed start to 2018. Both have an easy commute to work thanks to Oakleigh Grove's well connected location near to both the A1 and A406. Their new home is also ideally placed to suit their needs as they look ahead to the future. With one school at the end of the road and others nearby, the couple are already thinking about options for any future children.

Oakleigh Groveis in walking distance of Whetstone town centre which offers a selection of shops, restaurants and other local amenities, while the development itself offers a relaxed environment. Josh explains: 'We really feel like we get the best of both worlds. There are many so amenities nearby but when you're in the middle of the development, it's like you're in the middle of nowhere it's so quiet and peaceful and we love the relaxing surroundings of our new home.'
