When first-time buyers Laura Adsett and Ben Matthews decided to step on the property ladder, they knew they'd found their ideal home at ourKiln Walkdevelopmentin Hambrook, West Sussex.

Laura says: 'We've always wanted to get on to the property ladder and I think Hambrook is a beautiful place to live.

'Ben has grown up here and his family still live only a short walk from our new house, so it'll be lovely to live closer to them.'

The countryside setting of Kiln Walk impressed Laura and Ben, who wanted their first home to be in a serene and tranquil environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

'I like that Kiln Walk is small, well-maintained and quiet,' adds Laura. 'A major selling point for us is that the development is tucked away and quite close to the nature reserve, so you wouldn't know it's here if you were passing down the main road.

'However it's not too far from the surrounding areas. Our commute will be under 30 minutes and we're close to plenty of amenities like the Co-op down the road, as well as the local pubs and takeaways.'

Laura and Ben purchased their house with the Help to Buy scheme, which enables eligible first-time buyers and those with a property to sell to secure a Government loan for up to 20% of the full price of their new home, so they only need a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

They were impressed with the customer service and guidance provided by the Sales Executives at Kiln Walk.

'The sales team have always been on hand if we needed help,' continues Laura. 'We received a home pack with lots of information on the process and what to expect, so as first-time buyers we felt reassured during each step.'
