Our North West region has donated more than £500 to the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre, to fund class trips for a local Widnes school. Pupils at Lunt's Heath Primary School were treated to a science show and hands-on workshop as part of the museum's educational programme, which explores science and technology specific to the chemical industry and its impact on our lives.

Lunt's Heath Primary School and the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre are both close to Taylor Wimpey's Norlands Green development, on Norlands Lane.

Meryl Jameson, Marketing Manager at the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre, said: 'We're very thankful to Taylor Wimpey for this helpful donation, it's great to see them support the local Widnes community and Lunt's Heath Primary School.

'It's really important for us to make science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects fun and available to the younger members of our community and this donation helped us do that. The children enjoyed the whole experience, it was a delight to see how they got involved.'

Emily Nicklin, Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, commented: 'We're always committed to getting involved with local communities and organisations, like the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre, who are passionate about educating younger people.

'We're eager to support more community causes as we continue to build at Norlands Green and look forward working with more local initiatives throughout the year.'
