Lowde Fest teams up with Taylor Wimpey

Date: Wednesday 20 May 2015

A music festival in Hampshire can be Lowde and proud this year - thanks to our sponsorship deal with the organisers.

Our West London team - which is currently building new homes at The Woodlands at Crookham Park in Church Crookham - are delighted to be supporting Lowde Fest 2015, the county's premier music and beer festival, which will take place on Saturday 4th July 2015.

Lowde Fest, headlined this year by Paul Young, is run by the Lowde Music Trust, a charitable group which aims to give iPad access to every child in a severe illness ward in the UK.

Music has been proven to increase children's recovery rates, as well as ease tension and fears during prolonged hospital stays. The iPads can also enable children to safely access instant messaging and keep in touch with parents and carers.

We're sponsoring three elements of the festival: the Unplugged Stage - to be renamed this year the Taylor Wimpey Unplugged Stage - the Lowde Fest Cafe and the festival's campsite.

The festival attracts musicians from far and wide and a crowd of around 4,000 people to Mulberry House in the hamlet of Hazeley Bottom near Hartley Wintney.

Damon Turner, Senior Land Manager for Taylor Wimpey West London, says: "As a housebuilder actually working in the area, we are delighted to support such a great event in the local community.

"Lowde Fest is a fantastic local event that supports a very worthwhile charity, and we are proud to be able to help."

Festival director Martin Lowde adds: "We are delighted and grateful for Taylor Wimpey's support at Lowde Fest 2015."

The Woodlands at Crookham Park currently offers a choice of three and four-bedroom properties.
