Visitors at Kew Fete name our new development

Date: Wednesday 01 July 2015

Our West London team was a proud Platinum sponsor of this year's annual Kew Midsummer Fete, donating £4,500 towards the running of the popular annual event.

The family event took place on Saturday 20th June at Kew Green, where we had a stall providing information about our new plans.

As part of our sponsorship deal, we also gave visitors at the fete the chance to choose the name for our brand new development, off Bessant Drive, Kew. We asked those who attended to choose their favourite name from three potential options provided, with the official name being unveiled at a later date.

What's more, we also awarded one lucky visitor with £200 worth of London Theatre gift vouchers in a special prize draw at the Midsummer Fete.

Thousands of people attended this year's event, which boasted a wide range of stalls, a fairground, a food court, a charity raffle and a stage boasting a great line-up of local entertainment acts.

Michael Glazebrook, chair of the Kew Midsummer Fete Committee, says: "Everyone had a fantastic day, helping us raise as much as possible for local charities. Yet again the fete brought together sponsorship and support from the local community and beyond.

"We're still counting but our total charitable fund since 2009 now exceeds £65,000 which is down to our great volunteers who work so tirelessly and our generous sponsors."

Emma Jones, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West London, says: "We are very excited to have decided the official name of our brand new development, which we will be unveiling very soon!

"As with every year, the Kew Midsummer Fete was a huge success and we feel proud to sponsor the event and be involved in such a wonderful day, which continues to attract thousands of people each year."
