TCS : Tinkoff Bank is named Bank of the Year

Moscow, Russia - 17 February 2017 Banki.ru, Russia's financial news portal, has chosen Tinkoff Bank as the Bank of the Year, together with Sberbank.

Elena Ischeeva, Executive Director at Banki.ru, noted that today's banking sector is divided into two parallel universes, one made up of powerful state banks, and the other embracing private commercial banks. «The market is distinctly split in two, but is still flexible. In our opinion, the system of checks and balances, offering an effective alternative, ensures its stability and strength. As a private resource, we are happy to extend proactive support to Russian entrepreneurs and private business. At the same time, we have to be fair and recognise the achievements of the public sector as well,» she says.

The Bank of the Year is an annual award given to financial organisations for their achievements in customer service. It aims to distinguish the best market players as at the year end, provide customers with reliable and unbiased information about potential partners and help businesses set targets for future growth. Banki.ru gave awards in 23 nominations for 2016.
