Technotrans at the EMO 2017: from laser cooling to cooling lubricant conditioning systems

technotrans AG presents its laser cooling and cooling lubricant conditioning systems at the EMO 2017 in Hanover. Under the motto 'Connecting systems for intelligent production', the metalworking trade fair puts the spotlight on digitalisation. technotrans will showcase its solutions for enabling the safe and efficient production of these systems from 18 September to 23 September 2017 in hall 6 at stand K54.

The centre of attention at the company's stand will be the toolsmart.line as a proven technotrans solution for the filtration and temperature control of machine tools as well as the omega.line for laser cooling applications.

Compact and user-friendly systems
The toolsmart.line equipment is not only space-saving. It also enables the control of several different processes via a single control unit. As a result, one single cooling system can supply several different manufacturing areas, for example. 'Cost-saving is only one factor. It is also a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution,' explains Christian Walczyk, head of industrial system solutions at technotrans.

toolsmart is a modular system in which the various elements are adapted to the specific demands of the application in question. It can be easily retrofitted to already existing systems. Thanks to the proven multi-zone cooling concept, the system can also be used as a chiller for other machine tool segments. The spindle, hydraulic system, switch cabinet, cooling lubricant and other areas are all controlled - based on a single control element - via several independent refrigeration circuits. Even sophisticated materials are not a problem for the machines. The available models include a basic system up to the flexible toolsmart.xt unit with a tank capacity up to 4,000 litres and a filtration rate of up to 750 l/min.

Combination for additive manufacturing
A new combination unit based on the two product series toolsmart and omega has been specifically developed for additive manufacturing by technotrans. Like the entire toolsmart series, the system for industrial 3D printing has a modular and particularly compact design. Christian Walczyk presented the system to the public for the first time in 2016: 'The high demand in the first few months has shown that the solution has definitely struck a chord.'

At its EMO stand, technotrans AG will also present other products for the metalworking industry. You can find technotrans at the EMO 2017 trade fair in Hanover on 18-23 September in hall 6 at stand K54.
