Tokyo, Japan, October 17, 2011 ---Teijin Limited announced that as a result of flooding due to torrential rainfall in Thailand, operations have been temporarily suspended at Teijin (Thailand) Limited in the Bang Pa-in Industrial Estate and Teijin Cord (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in the Rojana Industrial Park, both located in Ayutthaya Province. No injuries to Teijin employees have been reported.
The detailed status of both companies has not been confirmed as their facilities cannot be entered at this time.
Teijin Polyester (Thailand) Limited in Pathum Thani Province suspended operations on October 16 as a safety precaution due to flooding in surrounding areas.
If Teijin concludes that group performance is expected to experience a significant impact, relevant information will be disclosed immediately.
