Asia's Largest Plastics Show

Tokyo, Japan, April 22, 2016 --- The Teijin Group announced today that it will participate in Chinaplas 2016 , Asia's largest international exhibition for the plastics and rubber industries, which will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from April 25 to 28. This will mark Teijin's 17th appearance at the event.

The Teijin booth (N1 F41) will present high-quality resins and new compounds with broad functional applications to provide total solutions for customers.

Highlighting Compounds Meeting User Needs
A center panel and rear garnish made of Multilon, a PC/ABS alloy, will be on display. Multilonprovides the high heat resistance required for automobile interiors, as well as high impact resistance and excellent moldability for exterior parts.

Highly Functional Resins
PC resins with a wide range of practical applications will be on display, including a resin with a high reflective index for camera lenses, a resin with superior transparency and fireproofing, and an ultra-hard resin with remarkable surface strength. Also on display will be Teonex, a PEN resin capturing increasing market share as a superior, highly functional alternative to PET, and BIOFRONTand PLANEXT, petroleum-free and eco-friendly bioplastics.

Total Solutions for Customers
Visitors will be able to see an automotive window made of Panlite, a PC resin half the weight of glass but stronger in an impact, and a large-scale, distortion-free panel made possible by Teijin's proprietary technology. The booth will also exhibit FCX-210 phosphorus flame retardant and a wide variety of resin processing methods.

As part of its medium- to long-term growth plan, the Teijin Group is now restructuring its geographic portfolio to expand in China and other promising emerging economies in Asia. The high-performance materials to be displayed at Chinaplas 2016 are among the many products featured in this plan.
