Tele Columbus : and Deutsche Wohnen strengthen long-term multimedia partnership

- Broadband connection for TV, Internet and phone services

- Ongoing expansion of fibre optic infrastructure

Berlin, 22 June 2018.The Tele Columbus Group, the third-largest cable network operator in Germany, and Deutsche Wohnen, one of the country's leading listed real estate companies, will be extending their partnership on a long-term basis. Based on agree-ments which have now been concluded, Tele Columbus - under its PŸUR brand - will continue to ensure that about 56,000 homes are supplied with multimedia services. The partners have also agreed to connect additional households too.

State-of-the-art communication infrastructure is a key factor in determining living quality and profitability in real estate: The Tele Columbus Group already offers Internet speeds of up to 400 megabits per second on its networks. Thanks to the hybrid fibre optic infrastructure that it uses, the company will even be able to achieve speeds in the gigabit range in future if required. More than 80% of Deutsche Wohnen's tenants who are supplied by Tele Columbus already have access to broadband Internet on top of an extensive TV offering. The agreement provides a long-term visibility for investments that paves the way for further expanding the networks and introducing attractive additional services.
