Arnaud de Puyfontaine, Executive Chairman of TIM, today announced that Amos Genish would enter Telecom Italia's team. In the capacity of General Manager for Operations he will oversee all TIM's operations.

Amos Genish has developed extensive experience in the field of telecommunications and technology in both the United States and Brazil, where he founded GVT making it the main Brazilian operator in the ultrabroadband field in just a few years.

Commenting on this appointment, Arnaud de Puyfontaine stated: 'Amos is a confirmed leader in global telecommunications, contributing to creating value. He has a proven track record across different cultures and geographies. I'm confident that he will adapt very quickly to the Italian environment, as he did in Brazil'.

Amos Genish recently became Chief Convergence Officer at Vivendi, with responsibility for developing the Group's convergence strategy involving content, platforms and distribution.

Amos Genish previously held the role of CEO of Telefonica Brasil / Vivo, the main integrated operator of telecommunications in the country with over 90 million customers and an offer including landlines, mobile, services and entertainment.

Amos Genish is relocating with his family from London to Rome.
