TeleCommunication Systems : Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Airbus DS Communications, Formerly Cassidian Communications, Inc.

ANNAPOLIS, Md., Dec. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TeleCommunication Systems, Inc., today announced that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit case against Airbus DS Communications (Airbus DS),  formerly Cassidian Communications, Inc., for its violation of five patents in TCS' 54-patent, public safety technology portfolio. TCS estimates that significant revenue has been earned over the past six years by Airbus DS in the fast-growing, next generation line of products and services.

The TCS patents that are allegedly infringed by Airbus DS's products include:

• U.S. Patent No. 8,681,946 - "Mobile Automatic Location Identification (ALI) for First Responders"; one or more claims alleged against Airbus DS's Call-to-Car Concept product
• U.S. Patent No.: 6,940,950 - "Enhanced E911 Location Information using Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP)"; one or more claims alleged against Airbus DS's Vesta/Sentinel 4 NG911product
• U.S. Patent No. 7,903,791 - "Enhanced E911 Location Information using Voice Over Internet Protocol(VoIP)"; one or more claims alleged against Airbus DS's Sentinel ESC1000 Controller product
• U.S. Patent No.: 8,149,997 - "Protocol Converting 9-1-1 Emergency Messaging Center"; one or more claims alleged against Airbus DS's Vesta/Sentinel 4 NG911 product
• U.S. Patent No.: 7,458,184 - "Location Based Messaging"; one or more claims alleged against Airbus DS's VESTA SMS product
