Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX), a leading global provider of medical devices for critical care, urology and surgery, will present for the first time at the 32nd Annual World Congress of Endourology (WCE) and Shockwave Lithotripsy to be held in Taipei, Taiwan on September 3-7, 2014. Teleflex’s presentation will focus on the irrigation system for ureterorenoscopy and a number of other endourological products for customers in the Chinese hospital market.

At WCE, which is the largest and most important annual event for endourologists worldwide, Teleflex will present a number of its Rüsch® brand endourological products, such as the DD ureteral stents and the nephrostomy product range.

In particular, Teleflex will highlight its irrigation system for ureterorenoscopy, which is a unique, comfortable, highly efficient and cost-effective device that complements its Rüsch stone extraction instruments in order to facilitate diagnostics and ureterorenoscopic treatment of calculi in the upper urinary tract.

The very sensitive, hands-free irrigation system provides optimal pressure and flow control during both rigid and flexible ureterorenoscopy. It consists of a robust foot pedal and a sterile single use disposable irrigation set. The simple connection of the irrigation set to the foot pedal and fluid supply provides the urologist with a very sensitive system capable of producing a continuously variable and controllable range of pressures.
