Telefonica is Spain's leading telecommunications operator. The group's activity is organized into 4 areas:
- fixed telecommunication service: fixed telephone service, Internet access, broadcasting of TV channels, etc. The group operates in Spain (11.7 million telephone lines, 5.8 million ADSL lines and 0.7 million television subscriptions managed at the end of 2012), Europe (4.1 million telephone lines, 4.3 million ADSL lines and 0.2 million television subscriptions) and Latin America (24.2 million telephone lines, 8.7 million ADSL lines and 2.4 million television subscriptions);
- mobile telephony (Telefonica Moviles);
- communication services (Atento): implementation of call centers and multi-channel platforms (telephony, Internet, video, etc.);
- production and broadcasting of media content.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Spain (24%), Europe (24.1%), Latin America (48.9%) and other (3%).
