Snapdragon 810: More power and less battery consumption

These advances have been made possible by the new architecture with eight CPU cores and 64-bit support. Four of the cores are clocked at 2 gigahertz, but for most usages only the four energy-saving cores are applied. This saves a lot of the new smartphone's battery, which is supposed to be able to run for two days on one power load. The internal storage has been doubled from 16 to 32 gigabytes, providing more than enough space for photos, videos and apps. And yet, Sony sticks to a tried and tested feature, which an increasing number of smartphone users have to do without: The brand new Sony Xperia Z3+ has a slot for a microSD card with 128 gigabytes, which more and more smartphone manufacturers have recently to omitted. What seems merely a slight improvement to its predecessor in fact turns out to be the greatest advancement of the sony Xperia Z3+: The micro-USB hub is now accessible without obstruction. Formerly, it was protected against dust and water by a little hatch, which had to be opened in order to attach data or power cords. This is now a great deal easier. Yet, the Sony Xperia Z3+, just as the previous model, is protected against dust and water by the rigid IP65 and IP68 standards. This even allows for 30 minutes in up to 1.5-meters deep water. Just the smartphone you need for your summer holidays!
