São Paulo, December 19th 2013 - Telefônica Vivo and Napster have just launched the streaming service Vivo Música by Napster, an app that allows listening to music instantly, by streaming, on smartphone, tablets or PCs. It is also possible to download the songs and listen to them when there is no web access available. This way, the content is saved on the device for offline use. The initial catalogue, that will be increased daily, has more than 14 million songs from all genres.

It is possible to search a song or create playlists by genres or national/international artists - it´s just one click to add music to the desired playlist. Besides the catalogue, that includes the most listened songs, the app offers content with information and biographies about singers and artists. Vivo Música by Napster allows recommendations of songs and playlists between users on Facebook, Twitter and SMS.

On iOS devices, the last listened songs are saved automatically. This way, it´s not necessary to configure the app previously, which uses less data and makes the songs´ reproduction even more agile. This functionality, called smartcaching, will be also available soon on Android.

Any Vivo mobile customer can sign in, choosing among a weekly fee of R$ 2,99 or a monthly fee of R$ 9,90 - on both options, the access is limited to one device connection. Promotionally, until February 28th 2014, Vivo will extend the access to two other devices. If the customer wants to keep access on three devices after this date, the monthly fee will cost R$ 14,90.

To contract the service, customers need to download the app on Vivo, Apple or Android stores, or accessing the website www.vivo.com.br/vivomusica. It is possible to sign in sending an SMS to the number 2005, with the text VMUSICA.

International Partnership

Vivo Música by Napster´s launch is a result of the deal established in October between Telefônica Digital and Rhapsody International (Napster´s brand owner). Accordingly to the deal, Telefónica will offer Napster´s music service - available in 24 countries and accessed by more than 1 million users - to its customers in Europe and Latin America.

Vivo Música by Napster´s launch is part of Telefônica´s strategy to become a digital telco, more than just a telephone and web company. A company that offers not just access to the web, but leverages it and creates solutions to bring benefits to the daily life of its customers.

Vivo believes that songs have the power to connect people and that music is universal and has great acceptance among its customers in Brazil. With the service, the company brings together music, technology and connection, offering a qualified leasure activity to its customers.
