At the second event of the event series 'TAG Digital Journeys', Telekom Austria Group CEO Alejandro Plater welcomed Federal Chancellor Christian Kern and high-ranking representatives at the Hofstallungen in Vienna. Chancellor Christian Kern, Tabitha Goldstaub, co-founder of Project Placed and CognitionX, Konstantin Klingler, 17-year-old founder of Lobu and Meral Akin-Hecke, Digital Champion Austria, followed the keynote of the Federal Chancellor ,

'The digital revolution takes place. It will accompany us all our lives in the future and make possible many things of which we still dream today. We have a great responsibility as Telco, our infrastructure is the basis for digitization. We digitize ourselves and also accompany our customers on their way into a digital future ', emphasized Alejandro Plater, CEO of Telekom Austria Group.

Christian Kern: 'Digitization leads to incredible changes in all areas of our lives. We must put ourselves at the forefront of change to ensure the best possible position of our country. I would like to increase the innovative capacity of Austria. Young people should have the certainty that they can realize bold visions in this country.'

Tabitha Goldstaub, co-founder of CognitionX, said: 'The question is not whether Artificial Intelligence comes, but more the socioeconomic impact that AI will have on the world. This is a tremendous opportunity to dramatically increase productivity, efficiency and innovation, but there is an urgent need to discuss the outstanding issues, whether ethical or regulatory. '

Meral Akin-Hecke pointed out that digital education is still not as widely available as is necessary. She emphasized that all of Austria could only grow digitally if there were equal opportunities for the attainment of digital education. Konstantin Klinger, 17-year-old founder of Lobu, sees the future with her technological possibilities very positively and stressed the importance of a flexible and modern school system in order to be able to take advantage of the opportunities of digitization as a young person.

The keynote address of Chancellor Kern and the subsequent discussion followed guests from business and politics.
