Marina Island Resort Pangkor becomes the first resort in Perak to subscribe to TM's Hospitality Entertainment Solution 

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today continues to elevate guests' experience at Malaysian hotels when the Company signed a Service Agreement with Marina Island Development Sdn Bhd for the provisioning of its Hospitality Entertainment Solution to Marina Island Resort Pangkor (formerly known as Best Western Marina Island Resort Pangkor). 

Under this agreement, Marina Island Resort Pangkor, a development by Marina Island Development Sdn Bhd will be able to enjoy TM's latest ICT and entertainment package comprising In-Building Broadband Solution (IBS), TM's IPTV service - HyppTV, and a Call Centre service; powered by TM's high-speed broadband (HSBB) network connectivity.

With this collaboration, Marina Island Resort Pangkor becomes the first resort in Perak to subscribe to Hospitality Entertainment Solution with high speed broadband of up to 40 Mbps.

The solution is developed to suit the needs of hospitality industry players; hotel businesses, retreat owners, resort owners/operators, hospitals, apartments, condominiums and any high tenancy buildings that require wired/wireless Internet access and uninterrupted TV viewing.

Badrul Hisham Bahari, State General Manager, TM  Perak, and Khaidhir Elias, Vice President, Sales SME, TM signed the agreement on behalf of TM while Marina Island Development Sdn Bhd was represented by its Director, Dato' Ali Bagas Abdullah and Resort Manager, Thong Keng Tong.

Commenting on the new partnership, Khaidhir said, "The agreement today marks a significant change for Malaysian SMEs in the hospitality industry. This all-in-one solution is specially developed to elevate guest experience and to ease the concerns of the technical management. The solution provides High Speed Internet access, world-class entertainment - be it rain or shine via HyppTV, as well as a 24/7 Help Desk and Customer Support. As part of its value-added service, the Help Desk will be directly manage any issues from the hotel manager or the end users - which in this case is the guests of Marina Island Resort Pangkor on broadband connectivity and HyppTV channels. The solution also enables guests to play online games in their hotel rooms. This way, hotels can focus on providing top notch hospitality to their guests, and let us do the rest."

Business guests can also enjoy secured access to their corporate intranet enabling them to stay productive while they are away from their office. The service will cover all areas of the resort including its 382 guest rooms.

Hospitality industry players subscribing to this latest solution are offered up to 66 HyppTV channels to choose from HyppTV's library for their guests; which include nine (9) Free-To-Air (FTA) channels and 57 premium channels.
