As part of its Corporate Responsibilities, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through TM Negeri Sembilan today continues its efforts in reaching out to the customers, particularly in Paroi, in a community programme titled "TM Bersama Komuniti DUN Paroi" held at Taman Bandar Senawang, Seremban.

The programme was officially launched by YB Tuan Mohd Ghazali Abd. Wahid, State Assembly Member of Paroi, at the Coco Drive Business Area, Taman Bandar Senawang, Seremban. Also present at the event was Ramlan Omar, State General Manager, TM Negeri Sembilan and Dato' Mohd Asri Che Mat, Chairman of Taman Bandar Senawang Residents' Association.

In his speech, Ramlan said, "We are excited to be here today with the local communities of Paroi and get to know each other closer to strengthen the relationship between TM and our customers. At the same time, we are able to feature TM's latest marketing campaign, "Life Made Easier" that focuses on benefits that the community members can enjoy through TM's latest innovations - UniFi, HyppTV and Streamyx - and how these offerings can enrich the daily lives of our customers."

In his opening speech, YB Tuan Mohd Ghazali said, "The State Government always welcomes initiatives from the private and corporate sector that can bring communities together. Today's event "TM Bersama Komuniti DUN Paroi" is such a platform that not only brings communities together but also enables TM to foster a better relationship with the community. Indirectly, TM is also able to give a better insight on their products and services that can benefit the local communities."

At the same event, TM also launched its wireless broadband service, TM WiFi DUN Komuniti Paroi, which will be accessible at Balai Raya Bandar Senawang. This service, provided for FREE for a period of one (1) year as part of TM's contribution to the surrounding communities, enables members of the public in Taman Bandar Senawang to enjoy broadband Internet access. This initiative is also in line with TM's commitment to keep Malaysians connected and to bring enhanced digital lifestyle for the community.

In addition, TM continues to increase public awareness on cable theft incidents and its implications to the communities by giving talks and setting up booths explaining about the issue. This is among TM's efforts to call upon the community members to work hand-in-hand with TM as well as the authority in curbing the incidents which have become increasingly rampant in the area.

To liven up the day, various family activities have been lined up for the public to participate - Aerobics, Colouring Contest for kindergarten children, a Cooking Competition for women and a Futsal Tournament for youths of the DUN Paroi. Besides that, there will also be free health checks and a Blood Donation drive for all visitors.
