The Company bagged 2 recognitions - 'Graduan® Brand Awards 2013': No. 1 Preferred Employer (Telecommunications) and 'Asia's Best Employer Brand Awards 2014'


Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) recently walked away with two (2) human capital-related recognitions - listed among the Top 10 Preferred Employer in Malaysia and dubbed as the No. 1 Preferred Employer in Telecommunications sector by the GRADUAN® Brand Awards 2013 and the Asia's Best Employer Brand Awards 2014. 

Commenting on its latest achievements, TM's Chief Human Capital Officer, Dato' Mohd Khalis Abd. Rahim said, "TM is humbled while at the same time, excited to receive these awards which reflect the positive results of our continuous emphasis on human capital development. These awards recognise the Company's commitment and untiring efforts towards enhancing the well-being of the employees as well as maintaining productive relationship with the employees and providing conducive working environment for them. As an Employer of Choice, we at TM always put the welfare development of our employees at the top of the list and the Company has embarked on numerous initiatives towards this end. TM has always placed great value on its employees and we continuously made concerted efforts to enhance their level of satisfaction and well-being, which is reflected in our world benchmark Employee Engagement Index of 90% for the past 3 consecutive years (based on survey conducted by Towers Watson). For the GRADUAN® Brand Awards 2013, TM was recognised as one of the Top 10 Preferred Employer in Malaysia and the No. 1 Preferred Employer in Telecommunications sector, as voted by more than 10,000 young graduates based on a survey conducted during the GRADUAN® ASPIRE 2013: Career and Postgraduate Fair. The event was a talent networking fair organised by GRADUAN®, with 70 participating companies and more than 25,000 visiting talents from Malaysia and overseas.

Close to 17,000 job seekers and working professionals completed the survey which was categorised into six (6) key sectors to reflect the different disciplines of talents who visited the fair: Accounting, Banking & Finance, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Information Technology (IT), Oil & Gas and Telecommunications. 

In this industry's debut of the survey result, TM emerged top as the preferred employer in the telecommunications sector, ahead of other telecommunications service providers in second and third respectively. 

To top it off, TM also won the Asia's Best Employer Brand Awards 2014, organised by Employer Branding Institute, World HRD Congress and Stars of the Industry Group. This award acknowledges more than 100 organisations across Asia that demonstrated excellence in building their brands as employers of choice through their human resource practices, policies and strategies. This is TM's second win after the first award received in 2011.
