Telford Homes has announced that it has opened a brand-new show home and sales suite at Manhattan Plaza, its latest landmark development located between Canary Wharf and Poplar in East London, E14. Existing and potential purchasers were invited to join the Telford Homes team for a glass of champagne on Friday 16th June to celebrate the official opening.
Designed by London interior designers Honky, the show home is a stylish dual level three-bedroom townhouse displaying the high-specifications offered throughout the rest of the development. It includes bespoke furniture, and a contemporary kitchen by designer Urban Myth, complimenting sleek stainless-steel appliances, stone worktops and handle-less fitted units.
The main living space features a mirrored and timber bespoke joinery wall unit, which is styled as a bar and media stand to accommodate cosmopolitan living. The master bedroom showcases a feature headboard wall with bronze mirror, adding an element of luxury offset by statement lighting, which continues across the first floor. All bathrooms are equipped with contemporary ceramic tiling, fitted cabinetry with chrome fixtures, as well as a spacious walk-in shower enclosure and bath.
Inspiration for the show suite was taken from the surrounding area of the Docks and Canary Wharf and tailored to appeal to professionals of the financial district and their dynamic lifestyle. The use of a tonal palette throughout was designed to bring a feeling of relaxation and warmth to city living, while also drawing on the surrounding landscaped spaces. Pops of colour are introduced adding a smart, contemporary twist.
Designed to enhance the off-plan buying experience, the new show home and sales suite will enable buyers to experience first-hand the exceptional fixtures and fittings that the new townhouses and apartments at the development provide.
Telford Homes has a substantial presence in Canary Wharf and Poplar, with over 1600 apartments either recently completed or currently under construction in the area.
David Campbell, Group Sales and Marketing Director for Telford Homes, comments: 'The unique appeal of Manhattan Plaza is the incredible value for money it offers compared to developments within Canary Wharf, whilst benefitting from superb views of the towers, River Thames and across to the City, leading to two thirds of the development having already been sold off plan.
We are delighted to launch our stylish new show home and sales suite at Manhattan Plaza which we believe will be an invaluable facility for existing and potential purchasers. With first completions in the development due in the Autumn, buyers can now physically experience a more 'hands on' approach to buying, especially when purchasing a home is such a large investment. Being able to touch and feel what they are purchasing is a real draw and, we feel, a vital part of the buying process.'
Designed by Barton Willmore architects, Manhattan Plaza merges inspiration from the iconic buildings of New York's trendy Meatpacking District with its London surroundings, where the old London market tradition of Billingsgate meets the world financial markets of Canary Wharf.
All apartments have video entry phone systems as well as underfloor heating in all rooms and a combination of timber and carpeted flooring throughout, providing residents with the finest in peace, comfort, and luxury. The Canary Wharf and City View Collection apartments, which launched earlier this year, each have private balconies extending the living and entertaining space outdoors and providing residents with further opportunity to enjoy the fantastic views.
Canary Wharf has undergone considerable change in recent years. Once a location where people would only travel to for work, the area has now been transformed into thriving hub of restaurants, culture, shopping and high specification new homes. The launch of Crossrail in 2018, less than a 10 minute walk from Manhattan Plaza, will continue to draw people to the area, particularly business professionals who are buying into the exceptional lifestyle, long term investment opportunities and accessibility. This will be one of the largest Crossrail stations, designed to include a 256-metre-long station box linking Canary Wharf and Poplar, along with a proposed retail park. The new Crossrail station will offer accelerated travel times across London from Canary Wharf, reaching London Liverpool Street in six minutes, Stratford in eight minutes, Bond Street in 13 minutes and Heathrow in 39 minutes.
Residents at Manhattan Plaza will not only benefit from a beautifully landscaped piazza and two residents' roof-top gardens, but will also have access to concierge services, 24/7 emergency cover, a private resident's gymnasium, and dedicated bicycle storage facilities.
