Bathurst, NB - TELUS has brought the world's fastest and most advanced wireless technology to Bathurst. This expansion of TELUS' 4G Long Term Evolution ( LTE) service to the community means residents can take advantage of dramatically faster wireless Internet speeds when surfing the web, reading emails, listening to music, watching videos, or using social media sites on an LTE-enabled smartphone or wireless device.

TELUS' 4G LTE service, which offers customers wireless data (upload and download) speeds two to three times faster than previous technology, now covers 85 per cent of Canada's population across 260 communities.

"Our customers in Bathurst are now among the more than 30 million Canadians who enjoy access to the world's fastest wireless technology from TELUS," said Ken Power, TELUS director of sales. "TELUS will continue to invest in expanding our network across Atlantic Canada to bring LTE to even more communities, part of our drive to put customers first in everything we do."

4G LTE is the new standard for wireless technology around the world, with most new handsets built to take advantage of its superior speed, including the Nokia Lumia 1020, Samsung GALAXY Mega, Samsung GALAXY Note 3 and Samsung GS4 and GS3 Minis.
