Marine Well Containment Company (MWCC) is an independent company with the objective of effective containment of oil spills and leakages in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico (GOM). Currently, the Marine Well Containment System (MWCS) project is a collaboration of 10 companies, which combine their technology and resources to preserve the zone and to guarantee safe operations in the field. This project highlighted the punctuality and performance of Tenaris products and services supplied for their leak prevention project in the deep waters of the GOM.

Tenaris received a letter of congratulation and recognition from MWCS for its support and performance in the project being developed in the GOM to prevent and properly manage leaks if they occur in a deepwater well.

In the letter, signed by Dale Reid, MWCS Project Manager, Marine Well Containment System project thanks Tenaris, specifically for the manufacturing of threaded and coated (Syntactic 5LPP) risers used in two systems, integrated by those pipes. Reid stated, "We note that the work was performed on schedule and with excellent safety performance and quality."
