On October 30 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Canada, Sault College unveiled its state of the art Tenaris Robotics Lab, highlighting the importance of innovation in technical education and manufacturing.

Tenaris's initial contribution to the college turned into reality last week, with the launch of the completed lab. Community partners, local delegates and industry partners joined together to commemorate the event.

'Technical education is very important to Tenaris, and we believe in the value of strong connections with the communities where we operate,' said Canadian Area Manager Guillermo Moreno at the ceremony. 'It is necessary to keep up with the technologies of today, and this is emphasized through the partnership we have created together with Sault College.'

In his opening address, Dr. Ron Common, President of Sault College, also spoke about the 'unprecedented demand on skills training' that has resulted from the technology in today's world.

The Tenaris Robotics Lab translates classroom learning into industrial experience, providing students with the skills necessary to be successful in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. It also serves as a means of training the public and Tenaris employees, while preparing local graduates for industry expectations. The research, development and training opportunities for the lab are important for our existing employees, allowing us to create and test innovative new solutions.

Tenaris is proud to be involved in the community of Sault Ste. Marie, supporting programs that generate opportunity and skill development for industrial manufacturing.
