Tenaris received the Award of Excellence for exhibiting integrity, trust and partnership in the management of Chevron's OCTG needs in Nigeria. This award was presented during Chevron's annual Contractor Recognition and Award Ceremony.

"We were nominated by Chevron's drilling group Star Deepwater Petroleum Limited based on the fact that they had zero non-productive time in 2014," said Rosario Osobase, Sales Manager in Nigeria. "Chevron recognized our efforts towards overcoming obstacles, our commitment to their operations and our overall ability to meet their expectations in the Agbami project."

The Abgami oilfield in the Niger Delta is Nigeria's second largest oilfield. Chevron started producing oil in Abgami in 2008 and peaked production at 250,000 barrels per day.

Tenaris was amongst a group of eight companies nominated for the award. Tenaris was one of the two partners nominated by Chevron's Deepwater Drilling & Completions team this year out of over 50 possible vendors.

The recognition was awarded based on how well the service partners met the "Chevron way." This means Tenaris aligned with Chevron's vision and values as a company. Other components were taken into consideration such as health, safety and environment, trust and partnership, effort, business results and positive impact on the Chevron organization.
