Successful start for new Terex® Liftace™ 5-31 reach stacker

Antwerp, Belgium, 06. May 2015

Machines sold at kick-off event in Antwerp, Belgium

Terex Port Solutions (TPS) has experienced strong demand for the Terex® Liftace™ 5-31 reach stacker at its market launch. At the kick-off event in Antwerp (19 21 April), French authorized distributors of TPS' products, Francetruck SA (Francetruck) and Société Nantaise de Manutention SAS (SNM) each decided to add the Liftace to their product offering. Even before TPS officially presented the Liftace reach stacker as the first of its new-generation lift truck family, Cuypers Vorkliften NV (Cuypers) from Antwerp ordered the very first machine. The cost-effective, serviceable and ergonomic Terex Liftace reach stacker is also gaining momentum in Canada and the USA as well as France.

Customers value the combination of new and proven technology

Steve Filipov, President Terex Material Handling & Port Solutions handed over the key for the first machine for Cuypers during the kick-off event. Like Francetruck and SNM, Cuypers will use the new reach stacker in lift truck rental. All three customers have an existing fleet of Terex reach stackers and, with the new investments, are focusing on innovation and continuity. According to Filipov: "The Liftace 5-31 reach stacker combines the expertise and strengths of two Terex legacy brands, PPM and Fantuzzi, with many innovative features. The strong demand from the start shows that customers appreciate our strategy of developing new machines on the basis of proven products. The new reach stacker will help our customers to work more efficiently and cost-effectively."
The compact, highly maneuverable Liftace 5-31 reach stacker offers a maximum load capacity of 45 t in the first container row (second row: 31 t, third row: 15 t), travel speeds up to 25 km/h and a maximum lifting speed of 0.45 m/s.

Presentation of Terex® Stackace™ empty container handlers too

After the reach stacker, the Stackace™ empty container handlers are the next in TPS' new-generation lift trucks; the E 5 8, E 6 8, E 6 9 und E 7 9 empty container handlers with a maximum load capacity of 8 or 9 t on spreader are now replacing the Terex FDC 18K and FDC 25J models. Both Liftace reach stackers and Stackace empty container handlers offer low consumption and wear in addition to particularly easy access to all maintenance points to facilitate servicing. The new machines are also designed to be especially ergonomic with a cab that is particularly user-friendly.
