CHICAGO, March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Textura® Corporation (NYSE: TXTR), the leading provider of collaboration solutions for the construction industry, announced that Uncommon LLC, a firm focused on project management, design and sustainable consulting, used Greengrade® to collect, track and manage all LEED® information for a new community wellness center for Project VIDA in El Paso, Texas. The community wellness center is seeking LEED Platinum Certification.

The project began in late 2009, but didn't move through final approvals for LEED certification until 2013, and over the course of the project some of the LEED documentation was completed early while some not completed until a year and half later. Greengrade provided Uncommon with a central, secure location to store all LEED documentation. "It's so important we have a central location to put all of the LEED documentation to ensure it's accessible to the entire team for the duration of the project," said Nicole Ferrini, Principal for Uncommon and LEED Project Manager for Project VIDA. "And at the same time, it's important to have the ability to control documentation updates to keep information current at all times."

As a cloud-based software solution, Greengrade provides all the tools needed to successfully complete and track LEED project information, coordinate LEED project teams, and submit final projects to LEED Online, all from one centralized location. Greengrade increases transparency, consistency and accountability, resulting in fewer delays and lower project costs.

"I was able to hold team members accountable for their roles through a centralized location and assigned tasks," said Ferrini. "With Greengrade, I can send out a task and fully understand that a specific team member is responsible for that specific task. It's very easy to see when that task has been completed and who's responsible for the next step. The ability for me as a manager to see where we've been, what's still pending and how I can integrate all of that upon final submission was invaluable on this project and has been what's really allowed us to reach LEED Platinum."

The new Community Wellness Center is the centerpiece of operations and outreach for Project VIDA. The center houses administrative, wellness, education and community outreach services, and also provides an environment focused on enhancing human health while supporting the environment and the neighborhood. Project VIDA is expected to receive it's LEED Platinum certification this year.

"Achieving LEED Platinum Certification is a major accomplishment and we're very pleased Uncommon used Greengrade on this important project," said Patrick Allin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Textura Corporation. "Achieving LEED Platinum Certification is difficult to do, and our solutions help make it easier by streamlining the entire process."
