TGK 1 : The first All-Russian festival of energy saving starts

On September 2-11, 2016 the first All-Russian Festival of Energy Efficiency, TogetherBrightly (#ВместеЯрче), will be held on the initiative of the Ministry of Energy of Russia. It is aiming to popularize careful attitude to nature and demonstrate modern energy efficient technologies that are used in different sectors of the Russian economy.

The North-West of Russia is going to participate actively - events will take place in Saint-Petersburg, Leningrad Region, Murmansk and Petrozavodsk.

On September 2 TGC-1 and Murmanskaya CHPP will hold a thematic intellectual game QUIZZ to support the All-Russian Festival of Energy Efficiency Together brightly. The format of the game implies giving answers to different questions: picture-puzzles, musical and logical questions. The tasks will include not only general knowledge, but also energy and energy efficiency topics.

Additionally, guided tours to TGC-1 production sites will be organised for schoolchildren and students in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy, Housing and Utilities of Murmansk Region and municipal Committees on Education. Apart from that, power engineers will conduct open classes on energy efficiency in Murmansk and Kandalaksha schools.

On September 3 energy efficiency family festival will be held in Sosnovy Bor. Exhibition area will be organised to show home energy saving equipment for every day use, and Smart house system will be presented.

On September 4 Lenexpo Exhibition Complex will host a festival with popular science shows for children organised to demonstrate the properties of different types of energy resources, the nature of energy and light, including Academician Steklyashkin science show - one of the most famous and creative among the scientific shows for children in St. Petersburg. Curious kids and adults will be able to learn a lot of water heating secrets, participate in interesting experiments and win a prize in a lottery.

In the City of Masters creative guests will be able to make peculiar souvenirs with their own hands using wires (weaving), bulbs (painting), natural materials. The animators will hand markers to everyone interested, and then a huge colouring page My part of St. Petersburg eventually becomes a big picture with a view of the city.

The entire central square of Lenexpo will transform into the area of the energy saving quest for the youth. Making their way from site to site, the players will get the missing keys to the desired treasure (lottery tickets).

The key event of the festival will start at 14:00 - signing the energy saving petition and the individual declaration of intent on caring attitude to energy at home and work. The representatives of the Government of St. Petersburg will take part in the festival.

The marathon of the events will finish on September 11 in Petrozavodsk.in In the city center TGC-1 power engineers will hold an environmental event - planting new trees. The veterans of power engineering industry, TGC-1 employees, orphanage graduates will participate in the event that became a good tradition.
