Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) announced that passengers are prohibited from taking Samsung Galaxy Note 7 mobile phones on board all flights or in checked baggage that is loaded on its aircraft.

Flight Lieutenant Pratana Patanasiri, THAI Vice President, Aviation Safety, Security and Standards, said that THAI has implemented a safety policy that strictly prohibits passengers from bringing Samsung Galaxy Note 7 mobile phones onto THAI aircraft in carry-on bags or in checked baggage. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 product has been recalled worldwide and sales suspended due to instances of the mobile device igniting.
