As recent as April this year, THAI's first A350 XWB rolled out of the Airbus paint shop in Toulouse, France amid aircraft enthusiasts waiting to take the first photos as it came out of the hangar doors. But for Thai Airways International passengers, the expectation is to enjoy a new flying experience when the Airbus 350 XWB joins the THAI fleet and enters service in July. THAI's A350 XWB offers a two-class service. Royal Silk Class seats are arranged four abreast in a 1-2-1 configuration for a total of 32 seats, with a width of 21 inches which can be adjusted to its full-lie flat 180 degrees.

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) announced that its first Airbus A350 XWB recently completed its maiden flight over South West France and will enter the final phase of production as well as undergo further ground and flight tests.

THAI ordered a total of 12 A350-900 aircraft, with four on direct order and eight on lease. THAI's first A350-900 will be delivered at the end of the third quarter 2016, with the first international flight set for service to Melbourne. THAI's A350-900 has the capability of operating long-haul as well as regional flights, with a total of 321 seat capacity: 32 Royal Silk Class seats and 289 Economy Class seats. In addition, THAI's A350-900 is equipped with fourth generation HD system. With the A350-900, THAI passengers will experience that 'Extra Sensation,' with an Xtra wide body experience, Xtra wide cabin and Xtra high ceiling, Xtra wide 18-inch seat for Xtra comfort in Economy Class, and Xtra quiet cabin.
