ANNOUNCEMENT DEMISE OF DIRECTOR
With great sadness, the board of directors (the "Board") of Thakral Corporation Ltd (the "Company" and together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") advise that Mr. Jasvinder Singh Thakral ("Mr. Jasvinder"), an Executive Director of the Company, passed away on 8 December 2013.
Mr. Jasvinder was first appointed to the Board on 15 November 1995. He was also
Managing Director of the Company's subsidiary, Thakral Brothers Limited.
Mr. Jasvinder had extensive experience in Japanese business and work culture and was in charge of sourcing consumer electronic products directly from Japanese manufacturers. He had strengthened relationships with the Group's suppliers and was the key person in managing the change-over to the current high-end product line that the Group distributes.
The Board offers its deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Jasvinder and wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude for Mr. Jasvinder's invaluable contribution to the success of the Group all these years.
