On 29 November 2016 the Thales Board of Directors, acting on a proposal from the Public Sector, co-opted Delphine Gény-Stephann, Vice-President for Corporate Planning & Strategy at Saint-Gobain, to succeed Thierry Aulagnon as a board member. Her term as a director will run until the end of the Annual Shareholders' Meeting that will be held to approve the 2017 financial statements.

As of that date, the Board will have 16 members including 8 women (50%). Six of the 14 members appointed by Annual Shareholders' Meeting will be women, thus exceeding the 40% statutory threshold for 2017.
