The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) announced today that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the five-week period ended April 5, 2014 decreased 1.8 percent in comparison to comparable store net sales for the five-week period ended April 6, 2013. Net sales for the five-week fiscal month ended April 5, 2014 were essentially flat at $106.6 million compared to net sales of $106.7 million for the prior year five-week fiscal month ended April 6, 2013.

Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the nine-week period ended April 5, 2014 decreased 1.6 percent from comparable store net sales for the nine-week period ended April 6, 2013. Net sales for the nine-week fiscal period ended April 5, 2014 increased 0.1 percent to $196.1 million from net sales of $195.9 million for the prior year nine-week fiscal period ended April 6, 2013.
