WARREN, N.J., Oct. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sophisticated art collectors know that managing their collections is an important part of protecting them. To aid in this process, the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies is offering state-of-the-art collections management services at a discounted rate.

Chubb Signature personal insurance customers can choose either a system from ArtBanc International or Collectrium to help catalogue and manage their collections in a secure online environment.

ArtBanc's collections management system includes valuation and research services for art, jewelry and other collectibles. ArtBanc(® )assigns a specialist to each customer to assist with uploading and maintaining digital files that document the collections. Additional services include valuation service for insurance, lending, estate, sales and gifting; research and cataloguing; and estate planning and wealth transfer strategies.

Collectrium's system allows customers to upload digital files, including spreadsheets, invoices, condition reports, appraisals, insurance policies and photographs. The software allows users to add supplemental information provided by Collectrium, including artist biographies and auction price history, to their records. A Collectrium representative will help new customers upload and organize their records. An app for iPhones and iPads lets users access their collections on the go.

"Many Chubb customers are collectors of everything from antiques and rare coins to classic cars and Renaissance art," said Maria Cordeiro, customer services manager for Chubb Personal Insurance. "Making these collection management services available to them is just another way that we can help them protect their passions."

Both collection management systems are part of Signature Suite, an array of consultative and response services that are designed to help eligible Chubb customers protect their assets and families from harm. In addition to collections management for fine arts and other valuables, the Suite's complimentary and discounted service offerings respond to other unique exposures of Signature customers, including personal security services, travel-related medical and other emergencies, and managing household staff and contractors.

Chubb insures some of the world's largest and most significant private collections--jewelry, fine art and historical artifacts, antique furnishings, coins, stamps, wine and more. Chubb's team of 20 fine art and collector specialists across the United States provide consulting and other services to clients who have a Chubb Valuable Articles insurance policy.
