Posted publicly every quarter, The Dow Chemical Company's (NYSE: DOW) 2015 Sustainability Goals Update is now available on dow.com. The first quarter 2012 report includes sustainability case studies and progress updates for each of the Company's seven Sustainability Goals, which were established in 2006.

In the first quarter, forty masters and professional degree students from eight schools and colleges at the University of Michigan became the first cohort in the Dow Sustainability Fellows Program. The unique program launched last year brings together a select group of future leaders from natural and social sciences, engineering, business, law, public health, public policy, architecture, urban planning, and other disciplines to find solutions to world challenges.

The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee also announced Dow as the Official Carbon Partner of the XXII Olympic Winter Games. Dow will work with local companies and marketing partners to mitigate the estimated carbon footprint associated with the hosting and delivery of the Games by the Organizing Committee.

The Company is ahead of pace with most of the 2015 Sustainability Goal targets. In particular, the first quarter saw only two Process Safety Incidents, well below our annualized targets for the year and for the ten-goal period. The Company's Hazardous Material Transportation Loss of Primary Containment events were also projecting well below the 2013 and ten-year goal targets.
