BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Aug 20, 2014) -  The First Marblehead Corporation (NYSE: FMD) plans to release its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2014 financial and operating results for the three and twelve month period ended June 30, 2014 concurrently with the filing of its annual report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2014 with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Company currently expects to file its annual report on Form 10-K between September 11, 2014 and September 15, 2014. 

The Company plans to host a conference call on the filing date to discuss its results and provide an update on the Company's business. First Marblehead's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Daniel Meyers and Chief Financial Officer Alan Breitman will host the call. The Company will announce the details for the conference call in advance of the filing date.
