Recognition Based on The Hackett Group's Expertise and Reputation In Both Automotive and Supply Chain Management

MIAMI & LONDON, June 14, 2016 - The Hackett Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: HCKT) has been recognized by Forbes as one of 'America's Best Management Consulting Firms' for 2016. The list, which recognizes the top one percent of management consultancies, names The Hackett Group among the largest and most recognizable firms. The Hackett Group made the Forbes list with a three-star ranking in two categories - Automotive and Supply Chain Management.

In the automotive sector, The Hackett Group has worked with the largest and best known names in the global industry as well as Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to benchmark selling, general and administrative (SG&A) performance, provide advisory services, and support transformational efforts. According to Geoff Peters, a Principal in The Hackett Group's Strategy and Business Transformation Practice, 'This is a time of tremendous flux in the automotive sector, and companies are looking to drive efficiencies in their back office operations to fund transformational initiatives in their go-to-market channels. Our benchmarking and global business services transformation teams have been at the forefront of identifying world-class SG&A performance levels - and helping organizations to achieve them.'

According to Bob Allen, The Hackett Group Principal and Operations Practice Leader, 'The Hackett Group has also been particularly successful in supply chain, partnering with clients to design a robust strategy, cost reduction processes, and drive top-line growth through targeted transformation and optimization efforts. We succeed by working in collaboration with our clients to create competitive advantage by aligning operational capabilities with business and commercial strategies and targeting performance across cost, service, quality, agility and working capital to meet both the strategic and financial goals of the business.'

'It's an honor to have made the Forbes list in these two key categories,' said Mr. Allen. 'Over the past 25 years we have worked with virtually every company in the Fortune 100, as well as the large majority of FTSE and DAX companies. The world's largest companies consistently depend on our empirically-based approach to guide their transformation efforts, and help them optimize their operations for both efficiency and effectiveness.'

To determine the list, Forbes collaborated with Statista, an online statistics provider, to conduct two online surveys. The first surveyed partners and project managers from management consultancies, and the second went to clients who have worked with management consultancies in the last four years. In combination, more than 8.500 people participated in the surveys.

In addition to creating the full list of the top consultancies, Forbes evaluated 15 industries and 16 functional areas to determine the firms that excelled in these areas. To be considered for Forbes' list, companies had to fall into one of the following categories: 'classic' management consultancy firms, IT consultancies, advisory branches of auditing firms, or consulting branches of agencies.
