Encouraged by the feedback from the recently launched Park and Dine app, Link Asset Management Ltd today announced a series of digital moves for the convenience of shoppers and tenants at more than 100 of its malls and markets.

George Hongchoy, CEO of Link Asset Management Ltd said, 'The launch of the popular Park and Dine app in October confirms that going digital enhances the shopping experience. We are now set to provide free Wi-Fi connections, introduce e-queuing, offer e-coupons and give free parking discounts with the use of specific credit cards.'

'Our first move is to provide Wi-Fi coverage at 114 of Link's shopping malls across Hong Kong through Hutchison Global Communications Limited. The coverage will be served by 1Gbps optical-fibre backhaul. The first 30-minutes will be free each day starting from early April,' he said.

'The service will be rolled in phases. Lok Fu Plaza, Stanley Plaza, Temple Mall, H.A.N.D.S and Lions Rise Mall are expected to offer fast and stable wireless Internet service by early April 2016. Service installation for all 114 shopping centres is expected to be completed by mid-2017,' said Jennifer Tan, Chief Operating Officer of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited, the collaborative partner of the project.

Mr Hongchoy added that another feature is a new e-queuing system at six of the Tao Heung Chinese Restaurants located in Link's properties. Shoppers can get their seating number via the company's app on their mobile with real time updates in queuing status to enable them to show up at the right time to be seated in the restaurant. He said the launch enables customers shopping at Link's centres during the Chinese New Year holidays to enjoy greater convenience with even more digital features.

During the Chinese New Year month of February, app users using a Hang Seng card for spending at Link's properties can enjoy three hours of free parking.

Link has appointed artists Michelle Lo (盧覓雪) and Louis Yuen (阮兆祥) to produce a Youtube video to be posted on social media to help launch this digital move. Click the link to enjoy the teaser of the video: https://youtu.be/qOvqbqv9EWc.
Electronic smart lockers are also available at over 30 of Link's shopping malls. They are installed within our shopping malls by several service providers to provide convenience for our online customers. Shoppers can easily choose the time and venue to pick up their purchases.
