Speed Communications, part of the missiontm, has been appointed by Blaze, creators of the Laserlight, as its lead communications Agency.

As Blaze's retained Agency, Speed will manage global media relations and brand campaigns across all territories with the aim of increasing the global profile of the business.

Blaze, a new brand to the cycling scene, designs and creates innovative solutions for the urban cyclist. Its pioneering product, Laserlight, projects an image of a cyclist onto the road 6m ahead of the bike itself, helping to make cyclists more visible.

As an innovative tech start-up, Blaze now ships product to over 50 countries and has attracted investment from the Branson family, Index Ventures and Pembroke VCT.

CEO & Founder, Emily Brooke, said: 'We are very excited to be working with Speed Communications. They have a superb reputation in cycling and tech start-ups. We have a crucial year ahead of us, covering new product launches, territory development and some exciting partnership opportunities. It's great to be working with an Agency that understands the needs of a fast growth start-up business and matches this with an unrivalled knowledge of the cycling market.'

Kate Bosomworth, Managing Partner, of Sport & Marketing, at Speed Communications, added: 'The Blaze Laserlight is an incredible piece of design and technology. Blaze is a fantastic fit for our rapidly growing cycling division and it's exciting to be working with such an ambitious team who we know will change the future of urban cycling.'
