Second edition of the global writing contest starts in October Navigator "Around the World in 80 Pages" is back

After a successful debut in 2015, Navigator, the world's leading premium office paper brand, is proud to launch the 2nd edition of Around the World in 80 Pages - Global Writing Contest, starting on the 13th of October. Based on the classic adventure novel by Jules Verne, this campaign is aimed at those who are passionate about travelling and writing and are always looking forward to go on their next adventure. Navigator has a total of €10000 in travel vouchers to reward the best stories, as well as a fantastic digital camera for the best photo.

Under the claim "Write the World. Make it Yours", the world's most inspiring paper brand invites anyone over 18 to share tales of their favourite places or most amazing travel experiences through an original and vivid story, which can take place in their own home town or abroad. The applicants should submit

a text with up to 2500 characters at www.navigatoraroundtheworld.com, accompanied by three photos that illustrate the narrative.

Deadline for entries is the 31th of December 2016.

"In the first edition, participation exceeded our expectations, with more than 500 stories from the five continents brought together", says Ricardo Ferreira, Navigator's global brand manager. "With amazing prizes and an appealing communication, Navigator aims now to conquer more participations and widen the range of nationalities involved in the challenge, while reinforcing paper as the best means of

communication to express emotions and experiences, setting Around the World in 80 Pages as a global benchmark among writing contests".

The jury of this global writing competition is composed of experienced writers/bloggers and Navigator representatives. The big winner will get a 2.500€ travel voucher, the second will get a 1.500€ travel voucher and the other six (3rd to 8th), a 1.000€ voucher. There is also an Honour Award for the best photo. The 80 authors selected will see their stories and photos published in a book, along with an exclusive illustration.

FIRST EDITION

"Life is a climb, but the view is great", written by Ana Torres, and "Leave nothing but pawprints", by Alice van Kempen, were the top travel stories from the 2015 edition of Around the World in 80 Pages - Navigator's Global Writing Contest. These two stories, chosen out of a total of 573 from 44 countries, as well as the other stories can be read at the contest's website navigatoraroundtheworld.com.
