Winners of the 2nd Navigator Global Writing Contest will be revealed on the 1st of March 2017 The 2nd edition of "Around the World in 80 Pages" attracted 1359 entries, from 65 countries.

In response to Navigator's 2016 Edition 'Around the World in 80 pages - Global Writing Contest', that inspired travelers to share a story about their most memorable travel experience, Navigator, the world's leading premium office paper brand, has received 1359 submissions, from 65 different countries all over the world. An amazing result, that saw an increase of 137% in the number of entries received and of 48% in the number of participating countries (in relation to the 1st Edition).

Challenged by the theme "Write the World. Make it Yours", travelers shared their true and inspiring stories on the competition website - http://navigatoraroundtheworld.com -, most of which were about people who travelers met during their trips, typically involving misunderstandings or lost in translation amusing situations.

Currently the contest judges - Kristin Addis, Dylan Lowe, António Quirino Soares, Gonçalo Cadilhe, Ricardo Ferreira and António Redondo - are selecting the eight winners among the top 80 finalists, who will have their stories and photos published in a book, together with an exclusive illustration. The eight winners will be announced on the 1st of March and will win travel vouchers to keep discovering amazing places and living thrilling adventures around the world.

FIRST EDITION

"In the first edition, the number of entries exceeded our expectations, inspiring more than 500 stories from the five continents", says Ricardo Ferreira, Navigator's global brand manager.

"Life is a climb, but the view is great", written by Ana Torres, and "Leave nothing but pawprints", by Alice van Kempen, were the top travel stories from the 2015 edition of Around the World in 80 Pages - Navigator's Global Writing Contest. These two stories, chosen out of a total of 573 from 44 countries, as well as the other stories can be read on the contest's website http://navigatoraroundtheworld.com.
