NEW YORK, February 24, 2014 - The International New York Times' celebrated international fashion editor, Suzy Menkes, will be bringing some of the biggest names in the fashion and luxury industries to Miami in December 2014.

The latest event in the prestigious International New York Times (INYT) Luxury Conference series , now in its fourteenth year, will take place at the Mandarin Oriental Miami hotel from December 1st to December 3rd. The two-day program, timed to coincide with Art Basel Miami Beach , will examine how the businesses of luxury and art are inextricably linked.

This is the first time the INYT Luxury Conference has been held in the United States.Holding a unique position between north and south, the city of Miami will give the attending senior business and creative leaders the opportunity to examine the trends of established North American markets as well as the developing luxury market in South America.

Suzy Menkes said: "The worlds of art and luxury have converged for centuries.
And Miami, the winter meeting place of the international art world, with its pastel colored art deco buildings and emerging luxury shopping destinations is the most modern manifestation of this phenomenon."
