The Board will be comprised of six senior executives from across the education services sector. Expected to meet quarterly, the Board will advise Colloquy leadership on trends in higher education, marketing and sales strategy, product development, and competitive strategies.

Jim Treleaven - President & CEO, Via Strategy Group

In addition to serving as president and CEO of Via Strategy Group (VSG), which advises CEOs on growth and turnaround strategies, Jim Treleaven is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Illinois, Department of Information and Decision Sciences. He has had a successful career in industry as the CEO of both public and private technology companies ranging in size from $40 to $500 million. Most recently, he was chairman and CEO of Catalyst International, a NASDAQ-listed supply chain software company. He also served as president of DeVry University-Chicago, which serves 15,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs in business and technology. He currently serves on the boards of TechAmerica and the Illinois Technology Association and the advisory boards of three graduate business schools.

Johnny C. Taylor - President & CEO, Thurgood Marshall College Fund

Johnny C. Taylor, Jr. is the president and CEO of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), the only national organization representing nearly 300,000 students at this country's 47 public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Previously, Taylor was a senior executive at IAC/Interactive Corp. and has had an extensive career as a litigator and corporate attorney. He currently serves on the Gallup, Inc. and YMCA boards, and is a former chairman of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). In 2011, Ebony Magazine named Taylor to its "Power 100" list of most influential African-Americans.

David Ernst - Management Consultant, Ernst and Associates

Through 2012, David Ernst was the CIO and associate vice president for the University of California (UC), overseeing system-wide IT initiatives for the 10-campus UC system. Prior to UC, Ernst spent 13 years at the California State University Chancellor's Office, where he attained the title of CIO and assistant vice chancellor. Following his retirement from public education, Ernst formed Ernst and Associates, a consulting practice in the strategic application of technology in higher education.

Bill Bradfield - Founder, Perceptis, Inc.

Serving as director of Colloquy's National Advisory Board, Bill Bradfield is a 25-year veteran of the higher education market. He was the founder and CEO of Perceptis, Inc. the leading independent provider of customer support services to higher education until his retirement in 2013. Prior to Perceptis, Bradfield was the CEO of Advantage Communications, Inc, a consulting firm specializing in the strategic use of information technology. He also founded ControlGen, a pioneer in the machine-to-machine wireless communication market, and holds patents in the use of two-way communications. Bradfield also spent 21 years at AT&T as an accountant, technologist, and business unit leader.

Bror Saxberg - Chief Learning Officer, Kaplan, Inc.

At global education services company Kaplan, Inc., Bror Saxberg oversees research and development of innovative learning strategies, technologies and products for Kaplan's full range of educational offerings. A noted expert in the field of learning science, Saxberg is sought out by private and governmental entities for his counsel. Before joining Kaplan, Saxberg served as senior vice president and chief learning officer at K12, Inc. and was a vice president at Knowledge Universe, where he co-founded the testing and assessment division that became known as Knowledge Testing Enterprise (KTE). He began his career at McKinsey & Company, Inc. and later served as vice president and general manager for London-based DK Multimedia.

Chris Vento - Founder & CEO, Intellify Learning, Inc.

A 20-plus year veteran of the higher education market, Chris Vento has served in a range of executive positions, including: senior vice president of product development and technology at Blackboard Inc. and executive vice president of technology and product development for Cengage Learning--where he created the highly successful MindTap product. His most recent venture is founding Intellify Learning. Vento was also on the founding team of WebCT, at which he served as executive vice president and chief technical officer.
