The Wendy's Company : Declares Quarterly Dividend

DUBLIN, Ohio, Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wendy's Company (NASDAQ: WEN) today announced the declaration of its regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.04 per share. The dividend is payable on March 15, 2013, to stockholders of record as of March 1, 2013.

During the fourth quarter of 2012, the Company's Board of Directors authorized a 100 percent increase in the quarterly cash dividend rate from $0.02 to $0.04 per share, effective with the Company's December 2012 dividend.

As of Dec. 30, 2012, The Wendy's Company had approximately 392.4 million shares of common stock outstanding.

There can be no assurance that any additional regular quarterly cash dividends will be declared or paid after the date hereof, or of the amount or timing of such dividends, if any. Future dividend payments, if any, are subject to applicable law, will be made at the discretion of the Board of Directors and will be based on such factors as the Company's earnings, financial condition, cash requirements and other factors.

Audited 2012 Results Scheduled for Release on Feb. 28, 2013
The Company will release its audited results for the fourth quarter and full year ended Dec. 30, 2012, before the market opens on Feb. 28, 2013, and will host a conference call at 10 a.m. ET the same day with a simultaneous webcast from the investor relations section of the Company's website at www.aboutwendys.com. The Company had previously reported its preliminary, unaudited results on Jan. 16, 2013.

Hosting the call will be President and Chief Executive Officer Emil Brolick, Chief Financial Officer Steve Hare and Chief Communications Officer John Barker.
