Thermo Fisher Scientific : receives double accolades in China

Last month, Thermo Fisher was honored with two prestigious awards in China in recognition of our culture, Innovation, corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts and contributions toward China's development.
One of those awards included the 2016 'Best Brand Image,' awarded at the 5 China Finance Summit. The award recognizes organizations and individuals who are contributing significantly toward China's economic growth and social advancement. In the Chinese market, Thermo Fisher is collaborating with local governments, research institutions and enterprises in healthcare, food safety and environmental protection to support the country's advancement toward healthier, safer and more sustainable solutions.
'This award recognizes our 'In China, for China' efforts,' said Gianluca Pettiti, President of Thermo Fisher China. 'As China steps up its economic reform, we will continue to deliver on our promises and leverage innovations to accelerate China's social and economic development.'
Thermo Fisher was also recognized with the 'Annual Responsibility Innovation' award at the 2016 Invest in Green Future CSR and Innovation Summit. The honor recognizes our China colleagues for their Involvement with the Little Scientists STEM education program, through with Thermo Fisher will donate 3,000 science kits to local schools, benefitting some 15,000 elementary students in 2016 alone. More than 1,000 Thermo Fisher volunteers are expected to support the program in 2016, from packaging the kits to visiting schools to conduct scientific experiments and delivering kits to students' homes in rural areas of China.
'Innovation is a key goal for China and a driving force at Thermo Fisher,' said Gianluca. 'Through our CSR efforts, we are sowing the seeds of Innovation among youngsters in rural China to support science education in underdeveloped areas and balance innovation throughout China.'
