NEW YORK, Nov. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomson Reuters (TSX / NYSE: TRI) today announced the pricing of its offering of C$550 million (approximately US$483 million) principal amount of 3.309% notes due 2021. The offering is expected to close on November 12, 2014, subject to customary closing conditions. Thomson Reuters plans to use the net proceeds of this offering for general corporate purposes, including, without limitation, to fund the redemption of all of its outstanding C$750 million principal amount of 6.00% notes due March 2016 and to finance share repurchases under its previously announced buyback program.

Thomson Reuters plans to enter into an agency agreement with a syndicate of Canadian investment dealers.

The notes have not been registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 and may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or an applicable exemption from registration requirements.
