OHSAS 18001 certification for Thrace Pack - Greece


Upgrading the company's policies to comply with internationally approved standards

In the spirit of continuous improvement along with a strong sense of responsibility, the Thrace Pack plants in Xanthi and Ioannina updated their safety policies, procedures and protocols to comply with all the aspects of the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard. Published by the British Standards Institution in 2007, the internationally recognized standard defines a solid framework to identify, control and decrease the risks associated with health and safety within the company.

The OHSAS 18001:2007certification, awarded to Thrace Pack Greece by TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS, denotes the company's commitment towards the welfare of its employees, as well as its human-centered philosophy for an overall healthy society. In this direction, Thrace Pack is now adjusting its procedures to also comply with the ISO 14001 standard, the internationally agreed certification which defines a specific set of criteria for an effective environmental management system. The company's goal is to improve its environmental performance to the maximum through the efficient use of resources, pollution reduction and effective waste management.
