Media Release and Company Statement 11 July 2014 Retirement of Board Chairman and Other Changes to the Board

Tiger Airways Holdings Limited wishes to announce that Chairman of the Board, Mr

JY Pillay, 80, will be retiring at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 31 July

2014. Mr Pillay will be succeeded by Mr Hsieh Fu Hua who has been an
Independent Director on the Company's Board since appointment in November
2011.
The Board would like to express its fullest appreciation to Mr Pillay for his leadership during his tenure as Chairman of the Board. At the same time, the Board takes pleasure in welcoming Mr Hsieh as Chairman.
The Board deeply acknowledges the contributions of Mr Pillay in strengthening Tigerair Group. Under his stewardship, the Group divested or shut down its loss- making overseas ventures. The Group is now focused on its core operation in Singapore.
Mr Hsieh credits Mr Pillay for laying firm foundations for the Tigerair Group's turnaround. "Mr Pillay has been instrumental in strengthening the governance and accountability in this young airline. He provided exemplary leadership in stabilising and steering the Group amidst challenging market conditions. I am honoured to be invited by Mr Pillay and the Board to succeed him."

Mr Pillay said it was a privilege to have had the opportunity to serve in Tigerair for three years despite the difficult industry environment. "With the rationalisation of the Group and the fresh leadership of Mr Hsieh Fu Hua and Mr Lee Lik Hsin, Tigerair should be on the way to recovery."


Brief Biography of Hsieh Fu Hua

Mr Hsieh has 40 years of experience in finance and banking in Asia. His current principal commitment is as the Chairman of United Overseas Bank. He had served formerly as CEO of Singapore Exchange. Mr Hsieh also serves on the GIC board and several non-profit organisations, chairing the National Gallery Singapore, National Council of Social Service and Stewardship and Corporate Governance Centre.

Other Changes to the Board

The Company also wishes to announce that Mr Po'ad Bin Shaik Abu Bakar Mattar will be stepping off the Board with effect from 31 July 2014 after the Company's 2014

Annual General Meeting. Mr Po'ad joined the Board in December 2009 as Independent Director and has served as Chairman of the Audit Committee. The Board would like to record its appreciation to Mr Po'ad for his dedication and contribution.

Mr Koay, Non-Executive Director and former CEO of the Group, will also be stepping off the Board with effect from 31 July 2014 after the Company's 2014 Annual General Meeting. The Board would like to record its appreciation to Mr Koay for his effort and diligence as CEO.

At the same time, the Company wishes to announce the appointment of a new member to the Board. Ms Chong Phit Lian will join the Board as Independent Director at the Company's 2014 Annual General Meeting, subject to shareholders' approval being obtained. Ms Chong is currently Director and CEO of Singbridge Corporate Pte Ltd and had previously been the CEO of Jetstar Asia Airways Pte Ltd, Valuair Ltd and the Singapore Mint.
